Wedding photography, for me, is more than the creation of beautiful
images. It's a chance to tell the full story of the day, so that those
who were there can remember the full arc of the event, and those who
weren't able to attend can get a real sense of the experience. It's
also about sharing the joy of the event. I love what I do, whether
it's taking casual images of the bride getting ready, capturing the
energy of a dance floor in full swing, or wrangling several dozen
relatives for a big family portrait.
When people ask me what sets me apart, I have two answers. The first is the quality of the images that I provide, which I think speaks for itself. The second is how I approach each wedding as a unique event. I know that for you, this isn't just a business transaction. This is your one chance to record a uniquely special day. That's why I give all my clients access to all the files of their photographs, and make a special effort to understand the unique challenges and opportunities that each wedding provides.
I've shot more than 150 weddings, and my work has been featured in The Knot Magazine, Minnesota Bride Magazine, Saveur Magazine, Metro Magazine, CNN Money online, the Minneapolis St Paul Business Journal, chow.com, City Pages, the Star Tribune, and heavytable.com. Although I am based in the Twin Cities, I have shot weddings in a number of places (you can see my work from all over the Midwest as well as Cape Cod, San Francisco, New York, New Zealand, Ireland and Cabo San Lucas.) I love to travel, and am always happy to chat about shooting events outside of Minneapolis/St. Paul.
